Sending first commercial robotic spacecraft to the moon in 2016

Naveen Jain is a billionaire from India and a co-founder and chairman of Moon Express and he wants to send the first commercial robotic spacecraft to the moon, and he wants to do it next year.

It is widely known that moon is rich with iron, palladium, gold, cobalt, platinum, and it is also rich with Helium- 3, which is a gas that can be used in the future, to provide with nuclear power, without radioactive waste.

His aim is to bring metals and minerals and even moon rocks to Earth. Obviously romantic Naveen Jain said that people consider diamonds as something rare on our planet, and that we should imagine how good it would be, if we could tell someone we love that we will " give them the moon " .

Very nice from Mr. Jain, but the question is who actually owns the moon ? The United Nations 1979 Moon Agreement said that the Moon and the natural resources of it are owned by mankind.
Naveen told CNBC that all those rare minerals and metals can be brought to Earth, and the benefit from them will be helping Earth's health and energy.

NASA has an amazing amount of expertise, when it comes to getting to the moon, and it wants to pass the knowledge on to a company like ours, that has the best chance of being successful - said Jan to CNBC.

We will see what will happen in the future, but we must admit that this idea is definitely very smart and helpful when it comes to improving our planet.
