All of us have had a point where we felt like we were in a love hate relationship with our phones. When you’re at home with nothing to do the battery lasts all day! However the minute you venture outside to run outside to errands- no matter how mundane, your battery life depletes fast! These tips are things you can do whether you’re at home or not and will generally auger well for your phone’s batter.
- Dim the screen
The display screen consumes more battery power than any other part of your phone and let’s admit we love our bright vibrant screens. But let’s be honest, when you’re running errands on the outside do you really need the brightest display setting possible?
- Turn off the Bluetooth and wifi
Using your hands-free head set in the car is useful, but can the same be said of having your wifi on? Further, when you get out the car and you’re not expecting a call what’s the point of having the Bluetooth on? Can’t think of any- we didn’t think you could. By turning off your Bluetooth when it’s not in use, you can save up to a whole hour of battery life
- Kill background Apps
Whilst we love our smart phones for the fact that they are smart, this feature means that at times apps are automatically started without our input. Because of this each app that is running uses a share of your phone’s processor cycle. A quick fix is to is to use task killer apps which detect background apps and save your battery.
